I am currently an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bengaluru, India. I obtained my PhD from the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, under the supervision of Prof. T. Padmanabhan. My doctoral work focused on gravitational dynamics and the thermodynamics of horizons.

Following my PhD, I held various positions at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics China, the University of Nottingham (UK), the Centre de Physique Théorique (CNRS), Marseille (France), and the DAE Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai (India).
